How Can You Make a Difference?
Your gift to Community Living Belleville and Area can make a real difference in the lives of people supported through CLBA. The organization relies greatly on the generous donations of individuals, families and corporate friends. Each gift is important and makes a difference. Community Living Belleville and Area encourages you to contribute in any way, and in any amount, you choose.
There are many ways to donate to Community Living Belleville and Area, including an In Memoriam donation, a donation in honour of a special occasion, or through planned giving. Community Living Belleville and Area is a registered charity. All donors receive a charitable tax receipt for income tax purposes.
In Memoriam
Many families request that relatives and friends make an In Memoriam donation when they lose a loved one. It's a meaningful way to express sympathy to the bereaved family. When you make an In Memoriam donation to Community Living Belleville and Area, you leave a loving, lasting legacy in the name of the deceased, while contributing toward the goals and dreams of people supported. Once CLBA receives a donation, a condolence card is sent to the bereaved family on your behalf.
In Honour of a Special Occasion
The Special Occasion Tribute donation is a unique way to mark a special event in someone's life. Be it a birthday, anniversary, retirement or any other special occasion - you can make a donation to Community Living Belleville and Area on behalf of someone you wish to honour. CLBA will send a card in your name to that person.

A planned gift to Community Living Belleville and Area will provide supports to those in need in the community while providing financial benefits to you. Planned giving includes:
Monthly giving
You may wish to consider giving on a monthly basis. You determine how much you are comfortable giving every month and authorize Community Living Belleville and Area to deduct your gift automatically from your credit card. This method of giving is easy and effective, and you can change the amount or cancel any time.
Bequest
Community Living Belleville and Area can be named as a beneficiary in your will.
Life insurance
You can make a larger gift than you might expect possible by naming Community Living Belleville and Area as the owner and beneficiary of a new or existing life insurance policy. The premiums you pay qualify for a tax credit. When you transfer ownership of an existing policy to Community Living Belleville and Area, you receive a tax credit for the cash surrender value. A gift of life insurance is separate from your estate and has no effect on its assets.
