Community Participation Supports

Our community participation activities provide opportunities for people to express themselves creatively, engage in physical activities, socialize with others, enjoy community talent and have fun.  People are supported to try new things that encourage self-development.

Being connected and having memberships in groups outside of the family develops social identities and gives people experience with openness, intimacy, bonding and personal growth and development.

A monthly calendar is developed and sent out one month in advance to give people an opportunity to choose the activities in which they would like to participate. We encourage people to enrich their lives with meaningful activities in the community. People have opportunities to make friends, attain personal goals, connect with community resources and become valued members of their community.

We continue to survey people to offer different venues and activities which provide opportunities for people to reach their personal outcomes. Activities are always geared toward people's interests, talents and gifts. There is a small fee for some of the activities and events. To ensure space is available, please call 613.962.2625 in advance. Transportation and support staff may be requested.

If you have a friend or family member who would be interested in participating in our community participation activities, or if you would like further information on any of the activities listed on our monthly calendar, please contact:
